Recognizing the need for collaboration within the senior care community, Healthcare Industry Professionals Serving Seniors (HIPSS) was founded in January 2007. Within three months, membership grew to 113 professionals representing 67 agencies. Officers were elected, a Board of Directors was established, and key committees were formed to guide membership, education, and community relations, laying a strong foundation for growth and shared purpose.

HIPSS was built on a collaborative, not competitive, model. Its mission is to improve the quality of life for seniors by fostering communication and cooperation among providers, expanding knowledge and resources, and upholding dignity and respect in every aspect of care. The group meets monthly to network, exchange ideas, and strengthen services throughout Forsyth County and beyond. While not every challenge can be solved, HIPSS believes that by working together, professionals can create meaningful improvements for both those they serve and those who serve them.
